In my debut feature film, Footprints On Water, I had the honour of working with an incredible ensemble cast, including Adil Hussain, Nimisha Sajayan, Lenaa Kumar, and Antonio Aakeel. The film has travelled to over twenty international film festivals across ten countries and five continents, receiving fifteen awards for Best Feature, Director, Actor, and more. Seeing the film connect with audiences and resonate globally has been deeply rewarding.

I am also the founder of Omart Creations Ltd, a London-based production company dedicated to developing and producing films rooted in social realism and authentic storytelling. Through Omart Creations, I am building a slate of short films and feature projects that aim to bring powerful, character-driven narratives to screen.

In addition to my filmmaking work, I am a Film Practitioner at a leading film school in London, where I mentor aspiring filmmakers in their creative journeys. I have led the BFI Film Academy for Resource Productions and the Kick Starter Programme, which trains unemployed adults to enter the film industry. My work in education extends across multiple initiatives focused on guiding individuals from script development to screen.

My experience in the industry extends beyond directing; I have also worked as an Associate Director and 1st AD, with broadcast credits across short films and commercials. My short film Lehenga was nominated for the ‘Best of British’ award and qualified for the BAFTA-recognised Iris Prize in Cardiff—an achievement that remains particularly meaningful to me. My recent short film Words on a Page, produced by Resource Productions, is currently in its festival campaign.

As a filmmaker, I am driven by a deep interest in telling stories that reflect diverse voices and explore thought-provoking themes across cultures and social realities. I believe cinema has the power to immerse audiences in different worlds while fostering a deeper understanding of the human experience.
